About Us
Distant Fantasies was started in 2003 as a place to help RPG Owners advertise their games. The services offered are divided between the website and the forum. The website is home to three website directories (original, fandom & adult), a plugboard, RPG Reviews, Picture Gallery, and an Advertising Links guide and Links list.
The forum is our community hub and also includes services such as the RPG Blogs, Button maker, Hosting information and places to find RPGs, staff and much more. There are also challenges for members to join in.

Simply put; we're different, a lot of fun and a great way to meet new people and get some experience. We're clique free, drama free and open minded. We offer things that no other RPG resource offers, and we aim to reach all types of RPGs not just forum/play by post RPGs. There's a whole world of roleplay out there

The Staff Positions!
Experience in modding forums is a bonus but not essential, we're happy to give those with lesser experience a chance. We are looking for mods to mod specific forums, as well as being active and helpful around the forum.
Special Global Mod Positions:
Roleplay Event Coordinator: We are looking for a Global Mod to join us as our Roleplay Event Coordinator. This staff member will be responsible for organising and updating our regular Roleplay Events.
Social Network Mod: This Global Mod will be responsible for updating and promoting DF's social network sites (currently faceook page, twitter & tumblr), so experience with these is a requirement.
Graphic Mods (2)
We are adding a range of premade graphics (forum skins, headers, play by icons) and we are looking for people to join our staff team as graphics mods. These staff members will be responsible for maintaining and stocking up the premade sections, offering graphics related help and answering requests. While we will not be offering this position to beginners, we do not have strict requirements for the level of experience required. Please provide a link to a current website/forum and/or journal/deviant art account so that we can review your work. Your experience must be with at least one of the 3 types of graphics mentioned, and can be with any program (Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, Gimp etc.).
Requirements:
essential: experience with forum skins, headers and/or icons/avatars, examples of your work, time to regularly create premade graphics and answer requests.
useful: previous experience as a graphics mod/creating graphics for websites, experience with multiple programs.
Coding Mods (3)
We are looking for Coding Mods to join the staff team to add useful codes to our resources and help visitors with any coding queries or problems."Coding" covers quite a few things for RPGs such as post templates, skins, addons/plugins for forums, websites and so forth. Coding mods need to have experience with some form of coding; forum codes, html, php, etc. A link to any accounts/topics which showcase experience with coding would be beneficial (whether creating, troubleshooting or helping others).
Requirements:
essential: experience with at least one of the types of coding mentioned, time to regularly answer questions and requests.
useful: previous experience as a coding mod, experience with multiple forum types/coding, experience installing php forums and other scripts.
